Right now I have been tutoring so much all at once that all of the details are blending together in my head haha. But I have met some really interesting people. I got to talk about arranged marriages with an Indian person who had his marriage arranged. I talked to a professional dancer, some people from Japan, someone from Russia and my stories have inspired some people regarding helping others more. It has been great. I plan to build my ESL teachings skills further and look up even better ways to teach. One person wants me to help him with his business English.

I just had my first session! It was with a lady from Saudi Arabia! I'm so thankful to have my first lesson with someone who could understand and speak English pretty well! It was a good conversation asking questions and getting to know each other! It was definitely a very great way to start and get an idea of what having conversations is like on there! I am look forward to more!!

My application was approved pretty quickly (I did have to redo my video twice - 1st due to the dress code and 2nd technical issues on the sound). They were very quick coming back to me after a day or 2 to ask for retakes then approve, I've started teaching now and have a few regular students and lots of new students every time I am online. The great thing for me about cambly is that most of the time the student has chosen lessons (which are full presentations made available to all tutors) or they'll ask to read and discuss articles that interest them so I don't have to use any particular teaching methods or do any prep for classes. Most students want general conversation with native speakers so they will just ask me to correct any mistakes, there is a chat tool where you can type the word they mispronounce or use incorrectly with a meaning if needed and that is saved for you and them to look back on too

Just like to say thank you for the webinar on Tuesday evening. It was very informative and fun. It was really good to know that there would be support if needed and not just thrown in at the deep end!!! 1 was excellent to hear form other prospective tutors and to know that you can access your profile and edit it at any time.
